TERMS OF SERVICE
It is important that you make yourself aware of the following. Do not bid if you are not prepared to fully comply with the terms and conditions.
Purchaser
The purchaser is to be the highest bidder. As our auctions are timed auctions, the highest bidder is the one who submits the highest bid prior to the close of the auction.
Reserve Price
On occasion, 23 Collectors will offer items that have a vendor’s reserve. In most cases, we will identify this in the description. If the sale ends and you do not meet the reserve price, we will negotiate with the vendor on your behalf and advise as such in an email.
Buyer’s Premium
A 22% buyer’s premium (including GST) is payable by ALL buyers.
Bidder Details
All bidders must complete a bidder’s registration form and supply sufficient information as required by 23 Collectors auctions team – this will require the furnishing of sufficient proof of identity. The submission of absentee bids constitutes registration; though the Auctioneer reserves the right to further establish the bona fides of such bidders and require a security deposit or credit card details prior to acceptance of the bids. Clients unknown to 23 Collectors must register no later than 24 hours prior to the commencement of the sale.
Payment Terms
Payment: At the conclusion of the auction, we will be forwarding an electronic invoice and present you in instructions to pay securely. As a registered auction company, with a registered auction licence, we follow protocol by having a trust account for all deposits.
For international buyers,
Title of purchased lots shall not pass until the purchase price and buyer’s expenses are paid in full of cleared funds in Australian Dollars. We accept Electronic Funds Transfer, Credit Card (subject to surcharge) and Paypal (subject to surcharge). Overseas buyers not using credit card facilities will be required to add AUD $30 to payments to cover bank charges; this will appear on the buyer’s invoice.

Purchases paid for by credit card will incur a 1.5% charge on VISA/MasterCard, and 2% charge on AMEX (includes GST).

Purchaser Responsibilities
The buyer of each lot is to be responsible for it from the time it is “knocked down”. Payment is to be made in full before delivery. The lot(s) are to be paid for by Australian buyers within two days of receiving the invoice, and by overseas buyers within 7 days of receiving the invoice. A service charge of 2% will be added to all overdue accounts. Failure to pay in full (unless otherwise approved) within the specified time also entitles the Auctioneer to re-sell the lots, with any resulting deficiency being made good by the defaulter.
Delivery of Lots
23 Collectors is a little different to other auction houses. Our items are cherry picked from our field of passionate collectors, and as such, we have no place of operations or location for collection of items won at auction.
To address this, we will be offering the following. All items (once paid for in full) and won at auction will be sent registered and insured to the purchaser. We will only charge what Australia Post charges, plus a flat $10AU for packing material and time.
No lots will be delivered to buyers without payment in full.
General
Although we strive to provide you with a comprehensive and accurate description of items being offered for sale, there may be times when the item is not as described. In this situation, please contact us via email auctions@23collectors.com
Each lot is sold as genuine and correctly described. Unless described, all official packaging and relevant certificates are presented within the lot. The purchaser is at liberty to return the lot by giving written notice within seven days (or in the case of overseas buyers, within 14 days) of the sale, if he/she proves that the lot is not genuine or not correctly described. The onus on proving a lot to be not genuine lies with the purchaser. Proof of the inability of a recognised expert to express a definite opinion will not discharge this onus.
Watches, instruments, and devices with working mechanisms are verified to be accurately described. Whilst every care is taken to provide secure packaging for all items in transit, no responsibility may be assigned to the Auctioneer for lots which are described as being ‘in working order’ but are found to be not working at time of receipt. Such lots are sold “as is” and are not subject to return.
Malicious, false, and non-paying buyers/bidders (anyone who bids or is high bidder on items but have no intention of completing the transaction) will have their privileges revoked, and registration cancelled. You must be at least 18 years old to register or use our auction service. If you use our auction, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account and password.
Viewing
23 Collectors is a little different to other auction houses. Our items are cherry picked from our field of passionate collectors, and as such, we have no place of operations or location for viewing or collection of items won at auction.
To address this, we will be providing detailed descriptions and multiple photos for bidders to make informed decisions. This, along with credible consultants opinions, the buyer can be assured of quality and supported items.
